EMERGENCY OXYGEN PROVIDER

Knowing how and when to use emergency oxygen is a great skill and means you are prepared to help others if needed.


Becoming an Emergency Oxygen Provider allows you to breathe easy knowing that you can recognize diving illnesses treatable with emergency oxygen and are prepared to offer assistance.


There are no prerequisites, age restrictions or mandatory in-water sessions on this course – it is open to everyone.


Scuba divers, snorkelers and anyone who works alongside divers – boat crew, lifeguards, etc. – will benefit from having this training.


You will learn about diving injuries, different types of emergency oxygen equipment, and safety considerations when using oxygen.


NEXT YOU WILL PRACTICE:

  • Assemble and disassemble emergency oxygen equipment.
  • Configure a one-way mask and demand inhaler valve on a breathing diver.
  • Using a pocket mask on a non-breathing diver.

Remember that with your Rescue Diver 5 specialties you can obtain your Master Scuba Diver certification.
